The Research Project

In May, you will be choosing a country and doing a research project. Each first grade teacher will represent one country. Students will choose which country they want to research and they will go to that first grade teacher's room every day for two weeks. The choices will be from the following countries:

Mrs. Reighley - The Scandinavian Countries of Denmark, Norway and Sweden
Mrs. Geggie - Japan
Mrs. Walker - Mexico
Mrs. Randolph - South Africa
Miss Sirmans - England

For the next two weeks, we will be learning a little about each of these countries as well as other countries around the world. This will help you make an informed decision when it comes time to choose the country you want to do your research project on. You will vote on April 28th for your top two countries. You will write down your first and second choice and we will try to make sure you get in the research group for one of your top two countries. You will learn more about the research project in May.
