The library staff is helping to celebrate Clinton County’s Bicentennial this Right to Read Week. The focus of the week will be reading through time. Please use Pages through the Ages as your theme in class. This can include books from or about the past, present, or future so lets GET CREATIVE! We will again have guests in all buildings reading and sharing with the students. Mark your calendars now for these exciting activities scheduled for Right to Read Week:
The week of May 3rd—Work on getting your “door” decorated and the hourglass activity (details coming soon) done with your students. Feel free to use the wall space next to your door to decorate if needed...
Monday May 10— R.T.R.W. KICK-OFF DAY “Door” display and Hourglass Activity on display in all buildings
Community Wide STOP, DROP, and READ!
Tuesday May 11—Hat Day—Our hope is hats that hit the theme somehow!
Wednesday May 12 - “Door” Decorating Judging—Famous historical figures will be around checking out the decorations.
Thursday May 13— Dress as your Favorite Decade Day!
Friday May 14— Time Capsules! We will bring RTRW to a close by awarding class and individual prizes and presenting Time Capsules. Library Adoption of NEW Class Created Books—details coming soon.
Friday, May 14th - Early Release Day Tuesday, May 18th - Parent/Teacher Conferences from 4:00 to 7:30 Friday, May 21st - Volunteer Breakfast in gym Friday, May 28th - Jump-a-thon Monday, May 31st - NO SCHOOL Wednesday, June 2nd - Talent Show Friday, June 4th - Field Day
